Raffles London at The OWO

The evening at Paper Moon for Iftar dinner was wonderful from start to finish. The ambience was spectacular, elegant yet comfortable, and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. Someone on the staff recommended it, and the suggestion exceeded our expectations. The hospitality made it memorable. Everyone was friendly and attentive, ready to help with a smile. Even the bellboy had a lovely chat with us, shared interesting things about The OWO, and kindly suggested we try The Bond Bar next time. It's rare to find the food and service equally impressive. I'll definitely be back.

The best part for me was the service. I loved it. The historical tour was totally slay, and the resident guide was a historian who was knowledgeable and entertaining. That day must have been my lucky day! The hotel is very fine, with high quality throughout, including the room. Even the most basic room was roomy. High tea was an experience in a nice setting, though the food was borderline.

The interiors are to die for, and the service is always impeccable, polite, and prompt. I popped into the bar for a quick “lift” and had previously brought a family member for afternoon tea as a treat. Highly recommend it, and it's well worth it for a unique, treasured experience.

The hotel was decked out for Christmas just before the holiday, and it looked very impressive. Lots of groups were taking photos on the main staircase. The 1850's building has been restored with elegant wood panelling and chandeliers, while the amenities have been modernised. You can see that a lot of money has gone into it. We only went for a meal, so I can't comment on the rooms. The bars and restaurants I saw looked suitably luxurious, and the service was discreet and unobtrusive, as you'd expect from a top of the range hotel. It's in the middle of Whitehall, just a few steps from Trafalgar Square and the Westminster attractions.
