The immediate area is quiet, but getting around is easy. A short bus ride takes you straight to Edgware Centre, with restaurants, cafés, shops, and the Underground for getting into Central London. The hotel itself exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean, the atmosphere calm, and the facilities well maintained. Staff were kind, warm, and courteous throughout. My sincere thanks to the whole team for their hospitality. It was one of the finest hotels I've visited in London, and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. I'd highly recommend it for comfort, cleanliness, and excellent service.

I keep coming back here when I’m in London, and the small problems I’ve had were sorted whenever I mentioned them at reception. For £40 a night, the value is hard to beat: the rooms are huge, parking is plentiful and roomy enough for my big car, and there’s a service station with food and shops across the road. The location also makes it easy to reach the motorway and get around London. People should bear in mind what they booked at this price. I think it’s a hidden gem.

On my most recent stay, the toilet leaked onto the floor, there was no kettle, and the bathroom towels had dirty blood stains. Water problems have been a regular issue on my work trips here: shower pressure is poor in every room, cold water from the sink sometimes runs hot, and sometimes there’s no hot water at all. I’ve also had to ask several times to get member reward points credited, and complaints don’t seem to be taken seriously. The South Mimms Ramada is usually about the same price and has much better standards.

For a solo work trip, the early breakfast worked well for me: it starts at 6am, so I could eat and be in central London by 8:30. The location was ideal, and for what I paid I got a huge room by London standards, a decent night’s sleep and food that was perfectly passable. My room was clean with no mould, fresh bedding and towels, a working TV and a clean kettle. There’s just one plug socket, though that didn’t bother me. I could hear the train line, but it wasn’t intrusive. Staff were efficient and helpful, even if they weren’t especially welcoming. You get what you pay for, and this isn’t the Ritz. I’m self-employed, so cost matters a lot, and I’m glad I didn’t cancel after reading the bad reviews and losing the £50 I’d paid. I probably wouldn’t bring my family, since it felt heavily geared toward male workers and, in my opinion, wasn’t ideal for families. I’d book again.
