The Club room was spacious and practical, but its décor felt dated. The whole place has a rather soulless conference-centre feel, although the staff were excellent and the Executive Lounge was comfortable and stylish, if short on seats. Breakfast in the restaurant was better. During the day the lounge only had soft drinks and hot drinks, while the 6-8pm Happy Hour included complimentary wine and beer plus a good self-serve spread of hot and cold food. The hot dishes were especially good, better than canapés. It can be good value, despite the dated feel.

We were only about a four-minute drive from our car park, so the airport location worked well. The room was big, though rather old-fashioned, and the desk was showing its age. The bathroom was tidy and the shower very good. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, but the room got stuffy overnight, so I opened the window. That let in noise from the busy road outside. It was fine, really, just probably not worth the price.

The front desk staff were extremely pleasant, and the hotel was dirt cheap. Terminal 5 was about a 15-minute ride away. Those are the main reasons I gave it a 4. The lobby looked modern and clean, and the WiFi was quick and reliable. Just be careful not to take the Hotel Hoppa to the wrong Sheraton. There’s a pub nearby called The Pheasant, around a ten-minute walk away, and I’d recommend it. My room was an odd mix. The bathroom looked newer than the living area, and the sheets and bathroom seemed clean. But the baseboard behind the bed looked water-damaged, and there was what seemed like a bug catcher or trap behind it, presumably for roaches. I wasn’t happy to see that. The Club Lounge had drinks and snacks, and it was handy to grab some water, but despite card access it wasn’t open around the clock. I couldn’t get coffee before my flight. I assume that was because they were preparing breakfast, but it was still disappointing.

Breakfast was nice, and the parking felt very safe. The rest was a letdown. The base of the bed in our Club room stank, with plywood placed underneath it. In the lounge there was no choice of spirits or rosé, and the food was very basic. The young woman there had to deal with complaints about the poor selection, which put her in a difficult position created by management. Downstairs at the sports bar, a burger and chips cost £19, Stella was £6.55 and Thatcher’s £7.55. I know this is London, but then they added a 12.5 per cent service charge. I can’t see the staff getting any of that.

We stayed at Sheraton Skyline Heathrow from 1-3 January 2026, and the experience was poor throughout. We were travelling with children and lots of luggage, but nobody offered to help us carry it either to the room or when we left. As Platinum Elite members, we got no recognition, room upgrade, points or compensation. At arrival we asked about a shuttle or private car to the airport and were told it could be arranged. When it was time to leave, we were suddenly told there was no transport available. We had to book several Ubers with the children and luggage, an avoidable and stressful scramble that better communication could have prevented. The room felt dated and uncomfortable, with none of the amenities or comfort I’d expect. It came across more like a budget hotel than an international brand property. The Club Lounge was no better: the cake was stale and inedible, and the cookies were rock hard. That was far below what I expected from a Sheraton lounge and added to the sense of neglect and cost-cutting. This fell far short of what I expected from Sheraton and Marriott Bonvoy, especially as an elite member travelling with family. I’d strongly recommend staying elsewhere if service, honesty or basic comfort matter to you.
