The room was comfortable, clean and well looked after, with a good minibar selection. We also ate really well at the restaurant, and the location made it easy to explore London. Most of the staff were lovely. Josh was a particular highlight: friendly, upbeat, professional, and great at making cocktails. The woman who often served us breakfast was just as warm and kind. We stayed from 24 May 2026 to 30 May 2026, and the first six days were wonderful. The last morning was the exception. Around 10:00 AM, my wife ordered at the bar, hoping to have breakfast on the terrace. The bartender, whose name I don't know, said there was a designated breakfast area but that he'd bring it outside. His manner felt arrogant from the start. When we asked about an alcoholic breakfast cocktail, he said he wasn't licensed to serve alcohol in the morning, even though alcoholic drinks were listed on the breakfast menu. When my wife asked for water, he pointed her toward it and told her to get it herself. That interaction took the shine off the end of an otherwise great stay and cost the hotel a star. I would still recommend it for the staff, rooms, food and atmosphere, especially Josh and the lovely breakfast waitress. Thank you for a memorable visit.

Beth made sure we were looked after all evening at the Spread Eagle. She was friendly, attentive and quick with both food and drinks, and really went the extra mile. She even handled a rogue spider calmly, which got her bonus points from our table. She's a real credit to the team.

The pork T-bone was the star of my meal at The Spread Eagle, cooked just right and full of flavour. The pub also looked lovely with its Christmas decorations, giving the place a cosy, festive feel. Staff were friendly and attentive all evening. I had a great visit and would happily come back.

Trisha and the rest of the team made us feel so cared for during our wedding breakfast at the Spread Eagle. They were flexible about our requests and took care with all the little details, always happy to go the extra mile. Everyone was warm and attentive, and the service from beginning to end was outstanding. We’re incredibly grateful they made the day feel exactly how we hoped. I’d wholeheartedly recommend the pub for a special event.

The rooms look lovely and I’ve seen some amazing deals, though I haven’t stayed in them. The pub itself has a spacious layout, a beautiful refurbishment, and a good range of beers and wines, with some great old-school soundtracks. It’s a bit quiet these days. The Sunday lunch used to be incredible, if expensive, but after a real drop in food quality the last couple of times, we decided not to go back, especially with the prices still high. Still, another great Yongs pub.
