There’s plenty nearby, including places to eat, shops, a cinema, the town centre, and a bus station, all within 3 - 10 minutes on foot. The rooms are spacious, and the prices are very good value compared with nearby places. Security seems average, though the area isn’t rowdy. Road facing rooms may get traffic noise. The windows aren’t double glazed, so the rooms might not be quite warm, but they’re fairly okay.

For the price, I don’t think it’s worth risking your safety. I’d put in a few more quid and stay somewhere else. I should have read the reviews. The woman at the desk was sweet when I made a late night reservation, but the place itself was in horrible condition. On the way to the room, I could smell mould, cigarettes, and weed. It felt like the building was falling apart. The shower was missing a handle, wouldn’t shut, and had a broken head that couldn’t be fixed. There was mould around the windows, which didn’t close properly, and the room was freezing even with the heating options on. The toilet seat was broken, the sink was vile, and the door was falling apart. There was mould around some of the skirting too.

Don’t spend your money here. The desk staff member put the phone down on me over a elamite. Disgusting service, and she should be reported. She said her name was Hannah or Anna, but I bet that was a lie too. I wouldn’t send anyone there, even if it were the last place available. I’d sooner send them to an underground car park. Save your money, the rooms are very dirty, as dirty as the female desk staff.

We had a baby with us and left for the baby’s well being. We’d stopped because we were tired and couldn’t drive any farther, but after seeing the state of the hotel, we booked somewhere else and went there. The smell of cannabis and cigarettes reeked through the building. The carpet in the room was sticky and musty, and the carpet elsewhere was sticky too. The single glazed windows hadn’t been cleaned. The car park at the back didn’t look safe, and there was a strong sewage smell outside the lift. The lift was disgusting, and the smell made us literally vomit. The tea and coffee area had such deep stains it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, and the kettle was covered in fingerprints. There were no tissues either. The Indian Female at reception was lovely and apologised, though it was out of her control. Reception also controls the heating or air con. There’s no way to adjust either in the room.

Good prices, and amenities are nearby. The staff were good, and they’re flexible about long stays. Peal from housekeeping was very good, and her service was excellent.
