Tavistock

The room was basic but clean, with a comfortable bed and a decent amount of space for central London. Breakfast had lots to choose from and, even when busy, seemed well organised. Check-in was easy, and the staff were polite and helped when I asked about transport links. I had a pleasant few nights at the Tavistock Hotel, and found it convenient for getting around and good value.

The red ruby butter chicken from the hotel's Indian restaurant, Poppadom, was gorgeous. Room service arrived quickly and the portion was generous, just what I wanted after a long day of work and travel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I slept wonderfully in the king bed I was upgraded to, the comfiest I've had in ages. Traffic outside made the room noisy at night, which I put down to being in central London. The lights were quite bright, so a lamp would've helped, though the bed made up for it. I liked being able to get fresh air with a walk through the little parks nearby, and the location is great for London Euston. I stayed one night for work and have already booked another stay for next month.

We spent several lovely family evenings at the bar and attached pub. We always felt welcome, and Nency, Raj, and Rijju were especially friendly and did a fantastic job. Breakfast was plentiful and good, too. The five-night stay was a pleasure, with the British Museum, train stations, and other sights all within easy walking distance. The rooms are clean, spacious enough, and decent for the price in London. One thing to watch: rooms at the corridor end near the bowling can be noisy late at night. The hotel is very central, so that comes with the location. There are also several tube and bus stations close by.

The rooms aren't especially modern, but they're spacious and well equipped, and the bed was so comfortable I slept really well. It's a practical, comfortable stay and very good value for money. The hotel is also ideally placed for nearby attractions, with St Pancras International just a short walk away. I really enjoyed my time here in London.
