The listing doesn't make it clear that the accommodation is mostly shared bathroom, especially compared with other listings that include this in the room title. “Deluxe Double Room” isn't clear, and the photos make it look like there's an ensuite. The room is also advertised as “Soundproof,” but we could hear the person next door coughing all night, footsteps from upstairs, and people showering above us. When I raised this with the owner, he was rude and brushed off my comments. It was very expensive for what it is, and we would never stay there again. I don't recommend it at all.

The day before our trip, my girlfriend was hospitalized. We tried several times to reach the hotel and asked to reschedule our stay, not cancel it, but they didn't respond. They then marked us as no-shows and canceled the reservation, and we lost all the money we had paid. The lack of communication and support was awful. During a difficult time, that felt unacceptable. If customer service and understanding matter to you, I'd strongly advise choosing somewhere else and saving your money.

We couldn't check in because of a medical emergency. We explained what had happened, but the accommodation showed little understanding or flexibility. It was also hard to get a reply from them, and it felt as though our messages were being ignored. The whole reservation experience was frustrating.

Thames View House is a clean, budget-friendly place for a quiet stay away from central London. There's a fully equipped shared kitchen with breakfast options. Getting into the city is easy, with the Grove Street/Plough Way bus stop nearby and Canada Water Station, serving the Jubilee Line and Overground, also close.
