The Bridge Hotel

The staff were really helpful and the service was very good. I didn’t eat here, so I can’t comment on the food. The room was spacious, clean and very nice, although a little dated. I used a birthday voucher and only stayed one night, so that didn’t bother me. It was about a 10-minute walk to the tube into London. The shower had almost no pressure, and it took ages for the water to warm up, so washing was a struggle. The sink was oddly designed too. Nothing stopped the water draining onto your feet unless it was overfilled, which I discovered after getting out of the shower while brushing my teeth. Would I stay again? Yes, but in a different room.

I’ve just finished my first night of a two-night stay. Everything’s been positive so far: it’s very clean, breakfast is great, and the staff are so friendly, especially the Scottish guy at reception. It may not always be close to where I’m working, but I’ll do my best to stay here. I also noticed there’s a doggy garden if you’re bringing your four-legged friend.

The rooms feel more like a two-star hotel and badly need maintenance. Some lights were missing bulbs, among other issues. During my three-night stay in November, the bathroom had no warm or hot water on the first night. They moved me the next day, but offered no compensation for the inconvenience, which felt especially unhealthy in winter. I also got no reply when I followed up.

I come here regularly. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff are always friendly. Prices are reasonable, there’s usually space, and checking in and out is easy.
