The walls are thin enough that I could hear the people next door talking and using their bathroom. I mean using it. I had earplugs with me, so it was fine, but that's why the room gets four stars from me. I was travelling alone for work and was given a twin room. The bed was very comfortable, everything was clean, and the simply appointed bathroom had a lovely hot shower, impressive in such a large old building. The hotel's history and character are charming, the front desk staff were polite, and check-in went smoothly.

The building's classic style gives it charm and makes it stand out from more modern hotels. We found the location convenient and well connected for getting around London. We had a very positive stay at The Columbia Hotel. Our room was already available when we arrived, so we could go straight in, which we really appreciated after travelling. The service was quick and efficient from the start. Definitely a good option for a London stay!

Our room at the front was amazingly quiet, even on Bayswater rd. The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms were spotless. I was unsure what to expect from the 'original 60's bathrooms', but ours was clean as a whistle, well preserved, and perfectly serviceable. The evening bar and morning breakfast service were both really good. The hotel has done a fantastic job keeping the buildings' original features and their 60's feel. It's great value, a lovely alternative to similar priced chains, and in a great spot at the top of Hyde Park. Really liked it. Super place.

The room and bathroom decor are a little dated, but everything was very clean. Honestly, who really minds an avocado green bathroom? It's a lovely large hotel with very friendly, helpful staff and a brilliant location, just a stone's throw from Hyde Park.

We were really happy with our three nights at The Columbia and felt we got a lot for our money. The location is a 10/10, close to Hyde Park and to the tube and buses. The rooms are a bit old fashioned, but clean and well cared for. The staff are lovely, and breakfast was as expected. Highly recommend, and I'll be back!
