The rooms in the main house were pretty good, though the bathroom underfloor heating didn't work and is needed. We spent three nights here over Christmas, a particularly challenging time for hotel food and beverage teams, and that team was professional, engaging, smart, fun, and full of passion and skill. From the head chef and bar staff to the breakfast and morning crew and the closing team, they were bonded and clearly cared about guests. They were a joy, and I'd let them run the whole place. I can't name individuals without risking leaving someone out, so thank you to the whole FB team. The front desk was a very different experience. I didn't enjoy my interactions with 99% of them at all.

The corridors and bar area look a little tired, though it is an old building and the price is hard to argue with. We stayed Saturday night, and the room was a good size and very clean. The bed was a bit softer than I'm used to but comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast in the conservatory, a nice spot to look out at the river. The gardens are lovely too. We walked to Richmond and came back through the park. The health club was great, with a good gym and very clean changing rooms and spa area.

We stayed for one night on 26th Feb 26, and reception at Front of House couldn't have been nicer. It was my wife's birthday, and they left a lovely note and a drink in our room. The quality of service alone will bring us back. Absolutely lovely, thanks so much.

We had lunch in the conservatory and the food was excellent. The hotel is in a great location, and we stayed there recently for the Six Nations Rugby. Our standard room suited us perfectly, with a very comfy bed and a clean, modern, well-equipped bathroom. A lovely hotel all round.

The spa and leisure facilities are good, and the grounds are immaculate. There's ample parking and the location is good too. I've been coming here for over 16 years, and the rooms are still pretty much the same, quite dated and in need of improvement. Breakfast is okay, but it isn't as good as it was when they had waiters bringing tea and coffee to the table. Now it's just a plain coffee machine, sadly.
