The staff were polite, helpful and a credit to the hotel, and I loved the arty feel and surroundings. But our room was ridiculously small and not very clean. The minibar hadn't been restocked after the previous guests: there was one battered old decaf Nespresso pod, and the other items for sale were so dusty they looked as if they'd been sitting there for months. My partner and I often come into town, love staying in hotels, and usually pick five-star places. We're happy to pay for an experience that's worth it, but this wasn't what we wanted for a special big birthday. I'd stayed in nicer, cleaner rooms here before, and this visit didn't meet our five-star expectations. We'd booked another stay with spa treatments for a birthday in May, but are now looking at other options. At £468, I'll go elsewhere. Sorry.

The three-course lunch at Yopo was fantastic, especially the Lindisfarne oysters, adobo lamb shoulder and tres leches. The artistic setting was beautiful, and the quality made it incredible value. Viktor and Lyosha gave us such a warm welcome and great service. I'd first come to Waeska Bar at The Mandrake for drinks and loved the atmosphere and mocktails, so I had to return to try the restaurant. I'll definitely be back.

I left feeling lighter, clearer and more connected to myself than I have in a long time. The sound healing with Maria Lodeloft and Reiki with Levi at The Mandrake was a deeply grounding experience, with a calm, intentional atmosphere from the moment I arrived. Maria's sessions blend powerful sound frequencies with a gentle, intuitive presence that helped me feel safe enough to let go. The energy she brings is beautiful and profoundly healing. Levi's Reiki complemented it perfectly, leaving me with a sense of balance and an inner reset. For a distinctive healing experience in London that goes beyond the ordinary, I wholeheartedly recommend Maria's work at The Mandrake.

I celebrated my birthday here and felt something special as soon as I walked in. The place is cozy and beautifully designed, and everyone on staff was warm and friendly. I also had a relaxing soul-healing treatment, and the restaurant food was delicious. Highly recommend it, and I'll definitely return.

I always leave Maria Lodetoft and Levin's Reiki and sound healing sessions calmer, more grounded and lighter for the day ahead. I've been attending Maria's events regularly for a while, and they always feel nourishing, like a peaceful refuge from everyday bustle. I'm not local, but the trip into London is worth it just to see her at The Mandrake. The setting is wonderful, and the welcome from the moment you arrive makes it easy to unwind. Maria and Levin are lovely hosts who create a nurturing space. I've tried Reiki and sound healing separately many times, so having both together is a great combination. Please keep this event going. I've booked again for a couple of weeks from now, and would encourage everyone to experience their gifts. They seem to intuitively know what guests need. Thank you both, and see you at the next one.
