The Marylebone Hotel

The room was extremely quiet, facing the back of the hotel, and the location was handy. We walked 15-20 minutes to the places we planned to visit. The staff were attentive and always happy to say hello or have a quick chat, whether in the lift, hallway, or while serving. Belka, our breakfast server, was friendly and polished, a lovely start to the day. I’ve just come back from a birthday weekend in suite 326. There was a strange lack of drawers, though I suppose plenty of people live out of a suitcase. I’d rethink the gym arrangement and consider turning one or two rooms into the hotel’s own fitness centre. The advertised pool is for laps only, with nowhere to relax around it, just one small bench. Gym staff and clients were incredibly rude to hotel guests. We had to sign in, something I’ve never had to do at a pool, and wear street clothes to get down there. We hoped to have a relaxing swim at the end of each day, but it was more hassle than it was worth. We were yelled at for wearing robes, though there was a small sign we hadn’t seen, and gym clients treated us like muck. I can only conclude they hate hotel guests using the facilities. Better to do without it, because that left a bad impression after an otherwise magical stay.

We stayed at The Marylebone Hotel while in London for our son’s graduation. The elegant atmosphere was still comfortable for families, breakfast was fresh, and the service was attentive. The doormen in particular were very welcoming. We’re especially grateful to manager Jhalak, who arranged a small surprise dessert plate for our son after we mentioned his graduation. Such a thoughtful gesture made our celebration more meaningful. Thank you for making that special moment even more memorable.

Suhail made our stay at The Marylebone a great one. He was patient even when the front desk was busy, and took special care with my elderly parents, speaking kindly and clearly and never rushing us. He arranged taxis, gave clear directions, answered our questions about local transport and the area, and often anticipated what we needed. His warmth, professionalism, and readiness to help are a big reason we’d gladly return. The hotel felt calm, comfortable, and safe for my parents. We had a clean, well-kept room in a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the location made it easy to get around London without too much walking.

Suhail at reception made a real difference to my stay. He greeted me warmly, explained everything clearly, and made check-in smooth. He went out of his way to help several times, staying calm, polite, and professional even when the desk was busy. His patience and genuine kindness made me feel well looked after. The hotel itself feels calm and comfortable inside, with beautiful design and a fantastic spot a short walk from Oxford Street and Marylebone High Street. My room was clean, quiet, and well equipped. The gym and pool, as well as the bar and restaurant, were a welcome bonus.
