The Omega

The staff were great and really helpful, and the rooms were clean. But the rooms are tiny, especially the ridiculously small bathrooms. At 186 cm, I kept bumping into things. We only stayed briefly and spent no more time in the room than necessary. The included breakfast was disappointing, so we skipped it on the second day. The location is great, literally a three minute walk from Paddington Station. I’d recommend it for short stays with up to two people per room, but tall guests should be aware of the tight space. :-)

The free breakfast was a nice bonus, and the staff were helpful. Being so close to Paddington Station made getting around much easier. The room amenities were a little lacking, and the beds were unfortunately harder than a rock.

The location is good and the staff are friendly, though you can hear other guests coming and going. The room itself was small, with a tiny TV and a cramped shower, washbasin and toilet area. The sash windows rattled and let in drafts, and the towels were miniature. We booked a double for two, but on the second day there was only one towel in the room. Breakfast is continental, served in a small room; if it fills up, you have to wait in the stairwell. It also ends at 9:00 am, which felt a bit early. There’s a full English available nearby.

The breakfast was great, and the woman serving it was really kind. The room looked a little tiny in the photos, but it wasn't quite as small in person. For the price, I thought the hotel was amazing. The problem is the £100 deposit they took at check-in, which still hasn't been returned. I’m not sure what I should do, though I hope the friendly receptionist can sort it out.
