The Rathbone

The Rathbone team made me feel welcome and valued throughout my stay. Holly, Dawid, Yevheniya and Marlene deserve special thanks. No request was too much, and I felt heard, seen and respected. It was a very different experience from many hotels around the world, perhaps comparable only to some in Abu Dhabi. I didn't feel like an anonymous guest who gets charged and sent on their way. The birthday treats were special, and I really appreciated the sweet card with its wishes. The hotel's location is excellent, a little gem in vibrant Fitzrovia, close to Soho, Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Rd. I would have given five stars, but nearby construction noise and the lack of soundproof windows caused some discomfort. That's not the Rathbone team's fault, but this is my honest view of the stay. Thanks for everything, Rathbone Team.

I travel regularly for work, and this was one of the better hotels I've stayed at for cleanliness and location. The newly renovated rooms made for a comfortable stay, and I really enjoyed my time here. The reception team were warm and hospitable, especially Yevheniia, who kindly brought plates along with the cutlery I'd asked for.

The renovation noise made it nearly impossible to stay in the room, and there was no mention of the work anywhere. Whatever they were doing smelled strongly of chemicals, like nail polish remover, across the entire 5th floor. My bathroom hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests, and the trash was full when I checked in. The Wi-Fi was a problem too. Every four hours I had to take my devices down to the 2nd floor to keep them logged into the network. At the front desk, nobody asked how my stay was or seemed to care.

After a terrible experience at another hotel, I checked into the Rathbone Hotel feeling very upset. Holly and Yevheniia listened to what had happened and got me checked in as quickly as they could. They were eager to help calm me down, and I can't thank them enough. They were amazing and completely turned my day around, restoring my faith in people. The room was beautiful and absolutely spotless. They also offered me a complimentary drink at the bar, which I really appreciated, though I had to decline because I was having surgery the next day. Thank you both, and thank you Rathbone Hotel. Your rooms are exquisite.
