The Resident Covent Garden

We were three friends celebrating a 50th birthday, and the hotel made a lovely fuss of us. They asked what brought us there, then gave us a bottle of wine, balloons in the room and a thoughtful handwritten card. The room had everything we needed, including slippers, a ghd hairdryer, a mini kitchen and, especially important, a powerful shower. The personal service was impeccable, with the team going out of their way to make our stay wonderful. We'll make this our regular hotel for future visits.

The room was a good size, very clean and lovely and quiet, even with noise outside. The bed was really comfortable, and all four staff members we spoke with were friendly and helpful. It's in a perfect location. I couldn't fault the hotel, would definitely recommend it and will come back.

The reception team always makes you feel like family, and that warmth seems to come from the way everyone works together. Service is the thing that stands out most for me, even with the unbeatable location. The rooms are pristine and a decent size. This is my London go-to, and really nowhere else compares for a stay here.

The evening drinks in the lobby from 6 to 7 were such a treat. We got to chat with other guests and staff and make plans for the rest of the evening. We also loved how clean, modern and comfortable the rooms were, and you couldn't ask for a better location. Covent Garden was about a three-minute walk away, Trafalgar Square about five minutes, and buses and the tube were easy to reach. There are loads of good restaurants nearby, lots going on and a lively feel to the area. This was a mother-daughter trip to London, from January 5 to January 11, 2026, and The Resident Covent Garden was a perfect choice. The staff were kind, genuine and always ready to help with directions, recommendations or questions. We arrived after our flights had been delayed and cancelled for over 14 hours. Once we told them what had happened, they sent a bottle of prosecco to our room, showed us some of the in-room amenities and helped carry up our bags. After such a difficult travel day, we really appreciated it. The next day we met more of the lovely team. Jacky, The Resident foodie, became our go-to for restaurant tips, and it was a pleasure to come back and tell her how much we'd enjoyed one of her recommendations. On the third morning I woke up feeling a bit under the weather. I mentioned it briefly on the phone, and a team member brought me a pot of wonderful ginger tea. I'll always remember that kind gesture. If you're visiting London for a few days and want somewhere comfortable, welcoming and well placed, I'd recommend staying here. I'm grateful to the team for treating us so well. They helped make my mom's birthday trip special, and I'm forever grateful.
