The Welbeck Hotel London, an IHG Hotel

I think I’ve found my perfect hotel, and I’m pretty sure I’m in love with it. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, whether at reception, in the bar or restaurant, or just passing in the hallway. Dear owner, give them all a raise! It’s on a quiet street despite being very central, just a few minutes’ walk from Oxford and Bond st tube station. Breakfast was delicious, with a buffet plus mains you could order. As a gluten free vegetarian, I had loads to choose from, and the team paid close attention to allergies and intolerances. The room wasn’t huge, but it was spacious enough for London. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was both gorgeous and really well designed. I’ll definitely stay here next time I’m in London.

I’d happily stay here again. The location made it easy to get around, with transport links and good restaurants nearby. The place was spotless, from the shared spaces to the rooms, which had clearly been cleaned with care. Everyone on staff was kind, attentive, and ready to help, making the hotel feel warm and welcoming. I’d recommend it for the cleanliness, service, and convenient setting.

The twin room facing the street was lovely, with a comfortable bed, water in the minibar, and a beautiful bathroom that my photos can’t do justice to. The blackout curtains really darkened the room, so we slept well. You can hear the underground in the daytime, though we didn’t notice it at night. There was also conversation from other guests and chair scraping from the room above us. The male staff were very friendly, but the women at checkout felt less pleasant. We’ll come back for another stay, hopefully on the top floor. The location is handy for being in the middle of things, with Selfridges just around the corner and Marylebone in the other direction.

The service was excellent, and the room was larger than average. I especially liked the heated tile floor in the bathroom. We hadn’t stayed here before, and it was a lovely visit, even though it’s a bit farther from my preferred area.
