The staff were kind, and getting around was easy: the underground is a two to three minute walk away, with a bus stop nearby. Breakfast was simple but enough, and I left happy without any problems. My room was clean and a good size, with a TV and air conditioner. There was no fridge, though I visited in winter so it didn’t bother me. The shower cubicle was the one downside, as it felt quite narrow.

The single room was unusually spacious and had a fridge, walk-in closet, full-length mirror, and separate toilet and wash cabin. It was immaculately clean and remarkably quiet for central London. The tube station is just three minutes away on foot. I was really pleased with the hospitality and service, and would definitely stay again.

The shower was my one complaint. It’s a separate little 1-by-1 cubicle away from the toilet, and anyone claustrophobic may find it uncomfortable. The hotel is well located, the staff are pleasant and keen to help, and breakfast is simple but good enough.

The main reason for the low rating is that my partner got bites that looked like the kind you get from bed bugs. The room was dated, though the bed was comfortable apart from that. Breakfast came with the stay and was continental, with no hot food. I was fine with coffee and making myself a Nutella croissant. I was unexpectedly stranded in London in June 2025 after missing the last train. The hotel we’d booked on the next street was full, so at 2 a.m. we found this place. They charged £150 for the night. For the location that may not be bad, but the hotel is certainly at the lower end.

A small en suite room and continental breakfast, which was adequate. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the hotel is close to tube stations for central London. Paddington is about a 15 to 20 minute walk away, and Kensington Gardens is nearby too. A good base for London.
