The building has charming artwork and décor, but that doesn’t make up for a poor night’s sleep. We were in Room 7 at the very top. It was small, the bed was smaller still, and I could feel the mattress springs. At £100 a night, that’s simply unacceptable. Cars outside were loud even with the window shut, and the shared bathroom door creaked every time it opened or closed. I felt uncomfortable worrying about waking the other guests. Check-in itself was easy, using a code, and there were no issues with the service. But the rest was disappointing. A room doesn’t have to be luxurious, it just needs to be comfortable enough to sleep in. Room 7 wasn’t worth £100. It was a terrible night, and I wouldn’t recommend this B&B or return.

John is adorable, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Still, the nights were exhausting. It got very hot and noisy, especially when there were neighbors. Opening a window for fresh air meant listening to the cars outside, which was barely any better. There were other service problems too. We had to wash our own dishes, but there was no washing-up liquid when we arrived, so we bought some. At least there was a dishwasher. We couldn’t find a drying rack for our laundry, and at some point our food was thrown away.

The location was fantastic, and the place was amazingly clean. John went above and beyond while we were there, and the staff who popped in were all lovely. I felt at home the whole time. :)

Close to the city centre, and great value for the price. The staff were friendly, and the place was always kept clean. I’d recommend staying here.

The landlord was so welcoming, and I loved the beautiful paintings. The kitchen is fully equipped too. Highly recommend.
