The team at Maldron Derry is what makes this place stand out. The building is lovely, and being inside the walls puts the city right on your doorstep, but it’s the welcome that stayed with me. From walking in to leaving, everyone was friendly and natural, and every request was met with a smile and some Derry humour. It felt like being looked after by a family who really care. I’ve stayed in plenty of good hotels, but this team is on another level. The Maldron chain is lucky to have them. I’d come back to Derry just to stay here again.

We had a really lovely stay. The staff were genuinely nice and very helpful, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, breakfast was great, and the bar food was lovely too. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning a stay in Derry.

We’ve been to the Maldron a few times, and this stay with my niece and nephew was just as good. The staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. The room was spacious, and we made good use of the gym. We also had a fantastic meal: my salmon was perfect and the kids cleared their plates. Breakfast was a perfectly cooked fry-up, not greasy. With shops and bars right outside in the city centre, it’s a great spot. Thanks so much, we loved it and will be back.

Our wedding reception was here on 29th January 26, and the food was amazing. Everyone was catered for. From booking through to the end of our stay, the service was outstanding. Chiree was brilliant when I wasn’t sure what to do and helped point me in the right direction. Caoimhe on Reception was lovely to deal with and did a great job accommodating all our guests. I’d recommend staying here, and to future brides and grooms considering booking their wedding here.

We got into our room two hours before check-in and were given free parking beneath the hotel. Caoimhe at reception was lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was big, the bed comfy and the shower good. Dinner had a limited choice, but what we had was very good, and breakfast was good too. Just a small gripe: the food trays could be topped up more often. The central location is great, and I’d stay again.
