Places like this genuine guest house are getting harder to find, and I’d strongly recommend it for a relaxing stay. Sammy and his team made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. He gave us an incredibly friendly welcome, and plenty of the other guests seemed to be returning visitors. Our room was comfortable and well equipped, with its own patio, and breakfast was delicious and laid back. Nothing to fault. We’re looking forward to coming back as soon as we can.

I only had one night here and already wish it had been longer. The service alone makes me want to return to Looe, and Bridgeside is absolutely where I’d book. We were in town for our anniversary, and the stay made the day feel even more special. Getting around was easy: the bus stops are a minute away, the station about four minutes, and the beach roughly nine minutes on foot. Sammy, the owner, greeted my girlfriend and me warmly, shook our hands, learned our names, and carried our bags while chatting with us. He’s the best host I’ve had, hotels included. Our room was gorgeous and very clean, with soft carpet, a thick mattress, a private bathroom and a fairly large shower. We paid just £4 extra for the big double windows with a sea view. There was also a sweet information book with Looe places to visit, area maps, bus times and local phone numbers, plus another booklet about the area. We spotted free breakfast and packed lunches made on request while looking at the bar menu. Breakfast was excellent. My partner especially liked the coffee and thought the food seemed locally sourced. We had a full English and beans on toast, with yoghurt, fruit and cereal also available. Sammy came over again as we ate and took time to ask about our day. A couple at another table clearly knew him from a previous stay. They laughed about old conversations and talked about how much they loved the guesthouse and would write another glowing review. There’s nothing I could fault, and the room felt so homely.

We really liked our room, and the hosts were great. Such a friendly feel here. We’d definitely stay again.

Sammy and lesley looked after us so well, and the location is brilliant. Our room was warm, cosy and very clean, with everything we needed. Breakfast was first class. It’s just a great all-round place, and there’s a small bar with all sorts of drinks. We didn’t use it this time, but it’s all there. Thanks so much for our stay x

My wife and I had a lovely two-night break here. Friendly staff, a good breakfast and a great location. A lovely guest house 😀
