I haven’t stayed in the rooms, so can’t comment on them. A group of us had a great time at the quiz night on 25th October, raising money for Looe fireworks. The food was delicious as always and nicely presented. Compliments to the kitchen team and the friendly, efficient waiting staff. Henry was a great quiz master. Hopefully they’ll hold more nights like this.

The food and service were excellent, and housekeeping did a very good job. Some room problems were sorted out, including a missing shower head and radiator caps that meant the heating couldn’t be regulated. Other guests also mentioned room issues. We arrived on Monday 29th December for four nights over New Year. We expected entertainment in a separate room, but it was held in the restaurant, where there was little space to dance. Our room was noisy and hot all the time. We were told the noise came from the kitchen extractors and that nothing could be done because the hotel was full. Water pressure was also hit and miss. In our opinion, the hotel wasn’t suitable for the number of people staying there, and because of these problems we wouldn’t choose it again.

After speaking with head chef Chris during the Saints & Smugglers 100 miler race, we stopped in to try the food. It was delicious and really good quality. The local moule was cooked amazingly, definitely recommend. We’ve added the hotel to our list for next time too, as we’d like to stay there when we come again. :)

The staff were attentive the whole time, and the bar and restaurant area was excellent. It’s a great location for a hotel, and the room was a reasonable size. The ensuite was disappointing, as was the supposed sea view I paid extra for. I’d still stay again, but would avoid room 314.

A lovely one night stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was excellent. Special thanks to Lyndsey and Tristan, who makes fabulous cocktails. Best Aperol spritz and Passionfruit martini ever! Thank you so much.
