Just needed a bed for a night, arriving late and leaving early, and it did the trick. The room was clean and tidy, with good heating and a desk where I could fill out paperwork. The bed was standard but comfortable enough. Good value, and the breakfast buffet in the morning was great.

Breakfast was good and enjoyable, and the room was a decent size with a nice view outside. The toilet area didn't heat well, though, and the mattress was worn. Fine for an overnight stop.

The Stotfield Hotel is right by West Beach in Lossiemouth, a small town on the northeastern side of the Highlands. It's easy to reach from the main road into town, with parking out front and around the side. It's a large place, with several floors and a massive restaurant. Breakfast comes with the stay and is fantastic, with loads to choose from, so don't skip it. The restaurant is good too, with a solid menu and generous portions for prices that aren't too bad for the Highlands. It's kid friendly, and the staff are lovely and helpful at any time of day or night. Book well ahead if you're visiting outside November or January, as it gets very busy.

The restaurant meal was faultless and the staff were lovely. The hotel was great too. My room could use a refresh, but it was still okay and spotlessly clean.

The room was disgusting, filthy and badly presented. The heating and Wi-Fi didn't work, the toilet flush handle was coming off, and the bed was hard, lumpy and uncomfortable. I was meant to stay for three weeks, but cancelled and booked somewhere else after just one day.
