Best Western Plus Kenwick Park Hotel

I’m back at Keswick Park for work, and the food and staff were excellent again. The Sunday dinner was superb. Gavin gave outstanding service, was extremely polite, and is a credit to the team. Brian made sure I had everything I needed during my meal, and Tracy at reception was helpful and efficient. Another brilliant room and hotel. Top class team, and I’d highly recommend it.

The room was comfortable and the food very tasty, which helped make our overnight stay with family so enjoyable. Everyone we dealt with, from reception and waitressing to housekeeping and Spa, was excellent. I’m looking forward to coming back soon with a friend.

My wife and I had such a relaxing time that we didn't want to leave. The lodges sit in peaceful woodland and really make you feel surrounded by nature. There are nature walks nearby, Louth is just up the road, and you can choose from the golf club, spa, gym, restaurant and cafe. I’d recommend the park for a stress-free getaway. In wetter weather, bring good boots: there are roads and paths up to the cabins, but you can still kick up a bit of mud walking around.

We left before 12:30pm, even though we'd booked access from 11am to 5pm. The spa was so disappointing, and other guests we spoke to had similar frustrations. At £70, it wasn't good value. We've visited spas around the country 8-10 times a year or more, and this was our worst experience. On arrival the reception staff were welcoming and the initial service was great. But once inside, the place felt like an ordinary family pool rather than a relaxing spa. The jacuzzi had so much chlorine that our eyes were burning, as were other guests'. The outdoor jacuzzi wasn't operating. Other guests said they'd been texted beforehand and offered the chance to reschedule, but we received no such message. We had a call the day before confirming our arrival time and food arrangements, and nothing was said about facilities being out of order. The jets in the main pool weren't working either. You expect to use the full range of facilities at a spa, not just sit in a basic pool and an over-chlorinated jacuzzi. It was also very overcrowded, which made it feel more like a public leisure centre than a premium spa. We chose Kenwick Park Spa as a one-off during our trip to Mablethorpe, based on the attractive website photos and facilities. Very disappointing.
