The location worked well, and the rooms were clean, a good size, and had a bath. Service was good too. The adjacent Beefeater is open to everyone, so book ahead for breakfast or dinner. The meals were good for a budget price.

Just what I needed for a quick overnight stop, the room was comfortable and the stay went smoothly. The staff were kind and helpful. When I ran out of tea bags, they brought me some more. Thanks 😊

The beds were really comfortable, though the room itself was basic. It’s a budget hotel, not a five star place, and the price was very reasonable for a comfortable night. Staff were lovely, especially at the Beefeater. One woman even got me a vegetarian vegetable lasagna late at night. Thank you.

Breakfast was handy, and I found the hotel good value, especially after reading some recent reviews and seeing it for myself. It suited us well for a few nights as a base for exploring the surrounding area. You get what you pay for, and in this case it worked out nicely.

I was only there for one business night, thankfully. The WiFi made trying to work pointless, even the paid “Ultimate” Wifi was awful. The rooms look like they haven’t been updated in a decade and feel incredibly dated. This is one of the worst Premier Inns I’ve stayed in. The Beefeater pub on-site was just as bad, starting with a dated first impression. Walking to the table, my feet stuck to the carpet; once seated, my sleeves stuck to the table, and the cutlery hadn’t been cleaned properly. The food certainly wasn’t undercooked, that’s for sure. One chip shattered into around 50 pieces when I cut into it. If you order meat, bring a hacksaw, a big drink and a toothpick. Having someone trained in first aid nearby might be sensible too. I’m dreading breakfast tomorrow. Please pray for me!!!
