A decent room for one night. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom looked a bit tired but worked fine. Staff were lovely, and it was worth the money. It’s about a 30-minute walk to Ludlow market square, with a few ups and downs. Taking the riverside route adds a few minutes, but it’s worth it.

Not the best Travelodge we’ve stayed in, though it’s definitely not the worst either. The room was clean and tidy and did the job. The bathroom was starting to look a bit worn.

I regret booking this place. The room was dirty, covered in cobwebs, and the whole experience was unacceptable. I booked two nights for my family, my wife and our three-year-old son, through the Travelodge app on 07/12/2025, with check-in on 08/12/2025 and checkout on 10/12/2025. When I arrived in Ludlow on 8 December, the receptionist first said there was no reservation. I showed her my booking number and she gave us a room. We left our luggage and went into town to explore, since it was our first time in Ludlow. We only noticed the state of the room when we returned that evening. I don’t know how long it had been unused. I went straight to reception and asked how long the dirty cobwebs had been there and whether the room hadn’t been used. The woman said she wasn’t sure and that she’d send someone to clean it if I was upset. Someone came to remove the cobwebs even though it was late, and we said it would be okay, so we stayed the night. The next morning, I went to reception to ask about breakfast or where we could go. The receptionist told me I was checking out on December 9th. I said there had been a mistake: I’d booked December 8th and 9th through the Travelodge app and paid for two nights. She said there was a problem with the app and gave me the customer service number. I called nine times but couldn’t get through. I tried to explain what had happened, but they didn’t understand and couldn’t solve the problem or take responsibility. I checked in on my reservation date and paid for two nights, but after one night I was told to leave, just an hour before the latest checkout time. They charged me for both nights and still said I’d need to make a payment. I also asked the receptionist why nobody had called to tell us to come in on December 7th, if that was the date shown on their booking. There was no answer, no responsibility and no solution. They did nothing about the dirty room apart from removing the cobwebs. This place needs to be inspected, and the fee should be refunded.

It was really quiet and I slept well, just what you’d expect from a Travelodge. We hadn’t realised there was a pub next door, but it served very nice evening meals and breakfast.
