The room was far too warm, including the hallways, so even in February we had to sleep with the windows open. Its look was a bit dated and there was some wall damage. The bathroom was clean, but the sink was blocked and still had hair and muck from previous guests in it. We couldn’t brush our teeth there, so used the shower instead. The room phone didn’t work either. There were good points too. Our mini suite came with breakfast, and parking on site was easy with plenty of spaces, despite what some other reviews said. The large bed was comfortable even though it was two beds pushed together. The bathroom was spacious and had a bath, bidet and rainfall shower. Breakfast was cooked to order, with a fair choice of bread, jams and granola. Staff were friendly and attentive, and brought the pizza we ordered from the restaurant up to the room. We were celebrating our sapphire wedding anniversary, and the meal was brilliant. The evening pizza was great too.

For our wedding anniversary, the Linton Hotel hosted a private function and made the whole occasion feel special. The dining room looked beautiful, and the table service was excellent, attentive without getting in the way. We had a three-course lunch that was as good as any Italian food we’ve eaten in this country. The staff were so helpful before and during the event. We’d strongly recommend considering the Linton Hotel for a celebration.

Chef Morelli’s food was outstanding at last night’s seven-course Italian tasting menu. The food and service were amazing, and it always feels like family there because the staff go out of their way to look after customers.

The room was a letdown: it was tiny, the bed wasn’t comfortable, and some of the facilities weren’t great. Breakfast was very good, though, and the food, bar selection and service were fantastic. At a good price, I’d recommend it.

A great last-minute stop when we needed somewhere late at night, even with our dog. The room was very small, but fine for getting your head down. I don’t like hard beds, and this one was firm, but the facilities were good and breakfast was fab. Night staff were helpful and respectful, and the lady on duty at breakfast was brilliant, kind and interested in the dog.
