Days Inn Magor

The price for four of us for one night was an absolute bargain, so I'd happily take it again. The room was clean and tidy, though it could use some freshening up. We found the place easily, and check-in was even quicker. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it for a night or two.

The room was clean and the stay itself was good. At the hotel they asked me to verify a bank card with a £0.01 charge, which seemed unusual, but checkout went smoothly. Later that evening, though, six charges totaling nearly £250 showed up on the card I'd used at the hotel, not the card used for the original booking. I tried reaching the property and got no answer. Customer service didn't seem to know what was going on.

Ann at reception was lovely and very helpful. When she saw I used a wheelchair, she helped with our bags, and she also found two bowls and spoons for our dietary needs. The other staff were friendly and polite too. It's easy to reach from the M4. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The beds were really comfortable, the rooms were very clean, and the whole experience was much better than we expected for such an amazing price. It's a great family friendly, dog friendly place for a stop on a journey or a short break. Just don't expect luxury touches like fluffy towels, modern decor, shag pile carpets, or a hot tub. It's a budget hotel, not the Ritz.
