Karma Sanctum On The Green Hotel

The grounds were lovely to walk around, and the restaurant meal was delicious. Molly was a great waitress, happy to explain the menu, and she pours a really good Guinness. Definitely recommend.

The staff were a big part of what made this place so lovely. Everyone was exceptionally kind, and Emma and Jules especially went out of their way to help and make us feel welcome. My dog also adored the tall blonde girl working in the restaurant, she was so friendly with him. Such a nice person. We spent two days here, staying in one standard room and one deluxe. Both were immaculately clean and comfortable. The pool and garden were lovely, with lots of spots to sit and take in the views. There are also nice walks nearby, easy enough to reach on foot with the dog. The food was the best I've had in years. Sunday lunch was perfect, and Monday night's dinner menu was superb. We'd been in Marlow in the days before, and none of the restaurants there came close. The hotel itself was beautiful and clean, and we'd recommend it to friends and colleagues as a gorgeous getaway within easy reach of Oxford and London.

We only paid for breakfast, but the hotel kindly let us use a room to change and leave our car in the car park for the day. My husband had arranged breakfast at the Inn on the Green before we went to a funeral at Cookham Dean Church at 11am. I'd arrived from Hong Kong at 5am on 19th December, so that generous help and the warm welcome from the staff meant a lot to us. Thank you so much, and Happy Christmas to you all.

We really didn't want to leave after a brilliant, memorable party that felt wonderfully different. The place had the feel of a classy Mediterranean spot. Lunch, the hog roast and breakfast were all very good, and the service was pretty much unbeatable.
