The one thing that disturbed the night was the external window, which I couldn't close. It's old-fashioned double glazing, and although temperature and security weren't concerns, it was really noisy in Manchester City Centre. I mentioned it to Reception when checking out, so hopefully it gets fixed soon. Otherwise, it's a lovely old hotel that's been refurbished well. The rooms keep their original features, the bathrooms are clean and modern, and the lobby and staircase look great.

The building and its design really stand out, and most of the staff I spoke to went above and beyond. The odd thing was how difficult it felt to go out for a smoke and pop to the shop late at night, even though the night porter and security were awake anyway. I'd stay again and recommend it.

The rooms could use a redecoration, as they're a bit worn around the edges. Mine was clean, though, and housekeeping changed the towels and made the bed every day. Reception really made the stay. The staff were welcoming, efficient, and happy to help with anything.

It was easy to get around from this city-centre hotel, just minutes from Piccadilly railway station. My room was spacious, warm, and comfortable, with new furniture and fresh, high-quality linen. It was spotlessly clean and a lovely place to unwind after a day in the city.

Omar at the front desk and the housekeeping team were excellent, and their service lived up to the hotel's high standards. Other interactions were much harder: there was passive-aggressive behaviour, someone hung up on me, and delays were left unresolved. I used to work in hospitality, so I tried to be as understanding as I could, but these problems were avoidable and handled badly. Parts of the stay were great, but the inconsistency means I'm not confident about booking again.
