Le Ville Hotel

The staff were the one good part. The friendly, helpful women replaced our towels and apologized, but the stay itself was awful. Street noise came straight into the room, and it was so hot that opening the window made sleep even harder. The heater, window and fan were very dirty; the towels looked brownish and unhygienic, glitter covered the bed, the mattress was in poor shape, and the blue cushions were stained and disgusting. Even for £10 a night, I wouldn’t say it’s worth it. It left a terrible impression and was the worst hotel I’ve experienced.

There wasn’t even a wardrobe in the “deluxe room,” and the rooms were filthy and grim. No manager was on duty to deal with the problems, so one poor staff member had to take all the complaints. Their ten-minute cancellation policy should tell you what to expect, though apparently cancelling is discretionary. The place is shocking and feels like a health hazard. They need to sort it out and at least clean it. Avoid it.

I didn’t stay at the hotel myself, but my daughter badly needed help recently. I called and spoke with Bodi, and they took her in and kept her safe. Since all her money had been stolen, Bodi even lent her a little personal money. That was outstanding service. I’m very impressed. Treating people that way makes you a credit to Manchester.

Great location, but the room was actually grim. The Scottish woman at reception was amazing and moved us to another one. It wasn’t her fault, but there were still hairs and stains all over the new room. The cleaners need to sort it out.
