The room and lounge options made the executive upgrade poor value. Those rooms are far from the lobby and near the motorway, so they’re noticeably noisy. Lounge food and drinks are only offered during limited hours, which didn’t suit when I needed access. The choices were poor: cold cheese, pate and crackers, plus small plates of dry macaroni cheese. I left to order room service. When the lounge was open, the limited food and alcohol options drew a crowd it clearly couldn’t handle. It was loud, overcrowded and unpleasant. Parking was another hassle. The Marriott app didn’t make it obvious how to add it, so I emailed separately and was told it had been added to my booking. At the front desk, staff said I hadn’t arranged parking and asked for proof in a way that made it sound like they thought I was lying. I showed the confirmation straight away, but they stayed rude and confrontational. Reception was an extremely uncomfortable experience. The shuttle bus also costs £4 each way, despite how it may look during booking, and that added expense wasn’t made clear enough. It only picks up at Terminal 2, so anyone at Terminal 1 has a long walk that isn’t clearly advertised. I emailed about these problems during my stay and got no response at first. Afterward I had to make a formal complaint. The eventual reply included several factual errors and brushed my concerns off as “personal issues” instead of recognizing the customer service failures. Management’s customer care was particularly disappointing. The hotel seriously misrepresents what it offers, and the service falls well short of expectations. I strongly advise avoiding it.

Serena was the sweetest person at reception when I checked in on the 26/2/26. She was so kind, friendly and accommodating. Give my girl a raise asap 🫶🏼 The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious, the food was great, and the hotel is really close to the airport, just off the M56. An amazing stay, highly recommend!!

The spa was lovely, with a great swimming pool, steam room and sauna. There’s also a conference centre, and the airport transfer bus runs every 25 minutes, which was great. We had an amazing stay. The staff were wonderful, the room was well equipped, and the hotel has two lovely restaurants, one French and one Italian. The food was amazing and presented really nicely. Thanks to everyone involved. We’ll visit again!

The gym is the one thing I liked, and the swimming pool looked good too, though I didn’t use it. Parking costs 16 pounds per night, which is another downside. I wouldn’t call this a four star hotel, more like a three. It feels old and a bit cold, and the rooms are okay for three stars. The TV seems about 10 years old and only has the open channels. There’s a kettle, and that’s about it. In the bathroom, you can’t regulate the hot water, it’s either cold or boiling. Breakfast was terrible. There were a few slices of fruit and cheese, some tomatoes, one lonely lettuce leaf, mini croissants, mini pain au chocolaut and another mini pastry. There are cereals, but you have to ask for hot milk if you don’t want them cold. Coffee is made beforehand and kept in a hot container, rather than prepared fresh. If you want something more filling, the same options are there every day: fried or scrambled egg, baked beans, sausage and roasted tomato. That might be fine for English guests, but for a Marriott hotel by the airport serving people from all over, I’d expect more variety and better quality.

A lovely hotel with amazing rooms and a very nice leisure centre. There’s no posted signage, though, and people were slipping. I also spotted a crack in the pool tiles by the stairs. It’s family friendly and well placed for Manchester Airport, with an Uber stand for getting a ride there. I’d recommend it.
