The instructions for getting into the hotel and room came right away and were easy to follow on WhatsApp. It was extremely affordable, everything worked, and I had no issues. The sheets were clean, I slept well, and the shower was decent in the morning.

I waited more than 40 minutes outside in the freezing cold before anyone contacted me, then nearly an hour to actually get into my room after I went to grab a bite to eat. There was no staff around or real help. The room was unkept, with a horrendously stained mattress. I honestly thought I'd made a terrible booking, then realized I was exactly where I'd booked. I found Witworth locke for £10 less, and it was 1000x cleaner and nicer, almost an hour closer to the centre, with working facilities and WiFi. Avoid this place like a zombie apocalypse.

The rooms were tiny and nothing like the photos I saw, in fact, the opposite. There was a bad smell as soon as you walked in and on the way up, and nobody at reception. The blind and lampshades were ripped, there were no shower curtains, and the ceiling was damp. I stayed there last night. It was awful, and I'll never stay again.

The whole check-in process was so convoluted that, in a fluster, I wrote my car registration down wrong and got a £100 ticket. That was my fault, but the reception staff didn't even try to help. They take your registration and charge £1, so strictly speaking, it's not free. Avoid at all costs.
