Pendulum Hotel

Breakfast was included, with a choice of continental or English breakfast and lots of drinks to choose from. The staff were lovely and attentive. The beds were nice, the shower had good pressure and temperature, and the heating worked well. I had a lovely stay. My one small gripe is that there's no socket by the bed, though an extra-long cable would solve that. Would recommend!

The rooms are comfortable, though mine could use a few practical touches. There were no hooks or rails for towels, and the curtain tie-back was such a flimsy plastic strap it couldn't hold even one towel. Breakfast is still decent, but compared with earlier visits, its quality and value have dropped. At this price, I'd like to see it return to its former standard. The location at Pendulum Hotel is fantastic, right in the city centre and close to transport, restaurants, and shops. The staff were welcoming and friendly, which made everything feel relaxed. It's still a good city stay, though the rooms need a little more attention to detail.

I had an issue with the friend I was staying with and needed to switch rooms. The woman at reception, who I think was on her last shift before starting a new job, was so kind. I think the catering manager let me move to another room, and the duty manager helped a lot too. All three were kind and helpful, and nothing seemed like a bother. Thank you, I'd like to thank you personally.

The rooms are on the small side, but they're ideal if you're travelling on a budget, with lots of storage. The beds were really comfortable and the shower was incredible. It's about a 10 minute walk from Piccadilly station and the city centre. The staff were lovely, and reception has a pretty cool layout. I'll definitely book again if I'm in Manchester.
