The freshly cooked breakfast from the menu was really good, while the buffet was about standard buffet quality. Service was very friendly, and I found a welcome gift bundle in the room, which was a nice touch. I booked through work, so can't comment on the price, but the hotel seemed well placed in central Manchester. The industrial chic design may not suit everyone, though it was comfortable, with good amenities and a decent level of comfort for a short stay. Some parts felt a little simplistic.

The beds were so comfy, and I came away feeling clear headed. It was an amazing escape for me. The staff were incredibly welcoming too, especially Jo and Alex, who really made our stay. I wouldn't have written a review if it weren't for them.

Sinead and her colleague rescued my stay after I got my booking dates wrong. They fixed it and stayed kind and helpful throughout. Thanks, Sinead! The room and bar have a relaxed feel, and what a great hotel.

Our room was beautiful and there were no real problems during the stay, though the shower took a while to warm up and the toilet had no heating, so it was very cold. We first struggled with our bags when we arrived on the 22nd for my birthday weekend. The desk attendant couldn't help us take them in the lift, so we had to make two trips, which was frustrating since we've usually been offered that help at other hotels. When we checked out on Christmas Eve around 3 or 4pm, the front desk let us leave our bags while we explored. Then one gentleman saw us struggling and offered to carry them to our Uber on the road opposite the hotel. That was a huge gesture, and we couldn't thank him enough. It stood out because we'd been refused help upstairs on arrival. Everyone was friendly and helpful apart from that first day. We'd stay again, and thank you to the gentleman who went the extra mile.
