We’ve just arrived for one night and already got a complimentary upgrade, which was a brilliant touch. The apartment is modern, spacious enough for three and has lovely features. The bed is huge and comfortable. The sofa bed has two singles, which feel tight, so a double would give more room, but for one night it’s perfect. Looking forward to this evening here.

The room was spotless and the white bedsheets were gorgeous and clearly good quality. Check-in was easy even though we arrived early, and the kids had the sofa bed made up as two singles with a TV. The kitchenette was fabulous, with a coffee machine, cleaning products and milk, lots of thoughtful details. The bathroom is compact, but the shower is powerful and there are fluffy towels, gorgeous Irish handmade soap and shower gel. Friendly staff and a great location too. I’d really highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel has done an impressive job of working tech into the room’s layout and design, and we were delighted with our top-floor suite. We’d come from Australia to watch United play Liverpool, but they’d overbooked, so we got a free upgrade. This was the first time in my life I’d been offered one. Chinatown is right nearby, with loads of food and drink options. Trains are just around the corner, and there’s a taxi pickup and drop-off spot, so getting in and out is easy. If I’m back in Manchester, I’ll stay here again, no question. Thanks again!

Our apartment looked brand new, was spotless and really on trend. The bed was super comfortable, and we slept well. There’s also a self-serve shop with drinks, chocolates, cakes, crisps and ready meals you can microwave in your room. We didn’t buy a meal, but I’d never seen that in a hotel and thought it was a unique idea. I’d definitely come back, though maybe I should conquer my fear of lifts first! I have a phobia of them, and when I saw on entering the lobby that reception was on the 9th floor, I walked all nine levels. I asked the gentleman at reception, Bailey, I believe, if he could arrange a lower-floor room. He said ours was on the 19th floor and nothing else was available, but must have noticed my fear and exhaustion. He kindly found us a lower-floor room, which also meant a free upgrade. I’m very grateful he accommodated me, as I know my lift phobia makes me difficult. Thank you, Bailey.

The location is perfect, with a tram stop, bars, restaurants and shops nearby. I’ve stayed at many Manchester hotels, and Wilde St Peter’s square is the best by far. Its rooms are spacious, quiet, clean and well equipped, and the lounge has great city views, a good drinks selection and a shop. The staff are lovely and helpful, and I can’t fault them. On stays ranging from short trips to four weeks, I’ve always looked forward to coming back. There was a payment problem when my company arranged to pay: I was wrongly charged to my debit card even though the company had paid already. Not ideal, but the team at St Peter’s square sorted it out quickly, refunded me and upgraded me on my next stay. For longer visits, I do think an extra free clean each week should be optional. I can’t wait for my next trip!
