Premier Inn Birkenhead Town Centre

I've travelled for work for years and stayed in Premier Inns, but never felt as welcome as I did at this one. Stacie is amazing. I watched her listen to and look after all the guests, not just me. She's a true gem and shouldn't ever be taken for granted. Stacie, you made this work stay the best I've had in 25 years.

Dinner and breakfast were both great for quality, variety and service. The staff were kind, friendly and extremely helpful, and our room worked really well for us. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was good. The only small downside we found was several patches of black mould on the ceiling, apparently from poor ventilation for steam from the shower and bath. After 21 years travelling together, this was the warmest hotel welcome we've had anywhere. Staci greeted us at reception, asked everyone's names, then remembered them later when she served dinner. The kids loved her and were gutted she wasn't on shift at breakfast. I thanked her then, and wanted to say it again here. We'd happily stay again. The staff really made it.

She was approachable and ready to help with anything we needed. You can tell she takes pride in her work and makes an extra effort so guests feel comfortable and valued. The location worked really well for exploring Liverpool while staying outside the city, with the nearest train station only a five-minute walk away. Our room was clean and perfectly acceptable, just as expected. The staff were welcoming and very helpful, especially the young woman at reception and the woman looking after us in the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for two nights last weekend.
