The Longlands Hotel

The hotel says it’s smoke and drug free, but the smell of smoke was everywhere, including in the room. I didn’t want my wife and young children sleeping there. The sink was badly cracked, one single bed’s headboard was falling apart, and the side of the bed base was heavily stained. It didn’t feel safe, so we checked in, told the receptionist about the problems, left 15 minutes later and informed Booking.com. Worst hotel ever.

We came from Manchester for a wedding after our hotel in redcar cancelled on us, and had a brilliant two night stay in room 31. The rooms were clean, and the man behind reception was lovely and sweet. We’ll 100% stay again. Thank you.

The cigarette smoke smell was in the reception, lobby and room. My room was dirty, with a carpet that looked unvacuumed, a dirty shower and a bed that hadn’t been changed. There was body hair on the sheet. I left within five minutes of seeing the room. Avoid it.

We checked in and left ten minutes later. The rooms were absolutely terrible, and the furniture was falling apart. There were some weirdos hanging around reception, and smoke smell everywhere. The owners never upgrade the rooms. Avoid.
