The breakfast buffet has good variety, and lunch and dinner at the restaurant are tasty, with good portions and no inflated hotel prices or hidden fees. The hotel gym has new machines, a useful short-term substitute for someone who usually works out. I also liked having separate shampoo and conditioner containers in the bathroom, since I don't like using shampoo. Sound insulation is good and can help with sleep. Room quality varies across visits. Some have been recently renovated, while others lacked a mini fridge or table and chair, or had an overused bed frame. Ask reception about the room's condition and distance from the lift. The stadium layout makes some rooms a long walk from the main lift, so online or phone check-in the day before can help you choose one nearby. It's a decent option for a work night or a visit to town, close to lots of shops and restaurants. The stadium in the middle of the hotel may be a unique experience. Staff are friendly and helpful, though I wouldn't say they go above and beyond. With the sporty feel from stadium visitors rubbing off on staff, the atmosphere doesn't feel like a resort if that's what you're after.

My friends and I are members of the trans community, and the staff have always made us feel extremely welcome. That inclusive atmosphere is a big reason I want to return to The Doubletree. I've stayed many times and always enjoyed it. The rooms are consistently clean and to an excellent standard, with very comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. It always feels like a treat. I also like the two hotel bars and have enjoyed many drinks there.

We hadn't been back in more than 10 years, and the welcome, atmosphere, and cookies were still as great as before. The hotel entrance has been updated. Parking costs £10 for 24 hours, with machines by the lift and just to the left of reception. Breakfast could have been better. More than five staff members stood around with their hands in their pockets, doing nothing. Everyone seemed to wake up once the manager arrived. We're looking forward to staying again.

We booked for a football game and really liked this beautiful hotel in the grounds of MK Dons football club. The immaculate room had everything we needed for a comfortable night, and the pillows were super soft. We skipped dinner there, but breakfast was amazing and had lots of choice. I'd highly recommend it and would stay again.
