We chose this hotel because it has proper twin rooms with two real beds, rather than the king and sofa bed some places offer. It’s conveniently near the A5 and on towards the M1. The bathroom looked a little tired, but the shower pressure was great and it didn’t affect my stay. The bar was nice, well staffed, and open late. I didn’t have breakfast, so can’t comment on it. A very pleasant stay.

The staff were amazing and really went out of their way to make the stay good. Special thanks to the tall guy from the restaurant in the mornings: even with a wedding party, he had breakfast ready and hot for everyone. Breakfast was the best I’ve had at this kind of hotel in the UK. The gym was great, the room was clean, and the bed super comfy. A great weekend all round. Thanks, I’ll be back.

The festive welcome was lovely, with a warm smile when we arrived and beautiful Christmas trees and decorations. We booked a last-minute stay at the Mercure and weren’t disappointed. Our double room had a rainfall shower, kettle, tea, and coffee, and was well presented with what we needed. We chose breakfast and dinner. The three-course evening meal was nicely presented and tasted lovely, especially the amazing crumble for dessert. Breakfast was buffet style. I was a little disappointed there were no crunchy nut cornflakes, but my husband tucked straight into a full English with freshly brewed coffee. All the staff were friendly, especially Monica at reception, whose smile and welcoming manner were delightful. I thanked her personally when we left.

The room was spacious, clean, and warm, with an extremely comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. The bedside tables and plug sockets were just a bit too far from the bed, my only small complaint. We had a lovely warm welcome and all the staff were friendly. We were absolutely delighted with the stay and have already booked again for next year.

The bar food was delicious and there was plenty of it. We didn’t eat in the restaurant. The rooms have lots of sockets, including USB points, which felt like a luxury. We had an EV, and although the chargers weren’t working while we were there, Milton Keynes had plenty of high-speed chargers. We stayed at the Mercure, Milton Keynes, while visiting a friend. The hotel was immaculately clean, modern, and well located, and all the staff were super friendly and attentive. Our ground-floor room was spacious and clean, close to reception. The linked bed was a bit uncomfortable, though nothing major. At night there was a dripping noise, presumably from the air-conditioning unit. It was bearable, but could bother some people. We stayed in autumn, though I’m sure the AC would be welcome in summer. The rooms were cleaned daily, but one day ours seemed only half done: the towels were changed and bathroom cleaned, but the bed wasn’t made and there were no coffee sachets. Reception sorted this out, so it wasn’t a problem. My husband and I would definitely stay again. These issues were minor, so please don’t let them put you off.
