Exmoor House

Breakfast was delicious, with our requests filled in the day before, and the hospitality was genuine and caring. We also enjoyed chatting with other guests in the shared spaces and breakfast room. We were lucky to find parking right across from the house, a real bonus in Dunster. Jane greeted us warmly and showed us to rooms that were spotless and nicely presented. The early arrival option was a lovely surprise: although check-in was originally 4 PM, a follow-up email said we could come anytime after 2 PM. We appreciated the eco-conscious way shared food was handled, with milk labelled by room number in the fridge, plus cookies in each room and a few extra snacks in the common area, which we resisted. Jane also arranged an ironing board for us, which helped us feel ready for the evening. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Jane. Wishing you all the best, and we'd love to come back! -Kaushala & Padma

The rooms at Exmoor House are quiet, clean and really cozy, and breakfast is included and delicious. Jane and James were exceptionally welcoming hosts. It's well located and would be a great choice for either a short or longer stay.

James was so welcoming and friendly, and helped with local food recommendations. He even went above and beyond by asking a nearby pub whether they'd be showing rugby. The room was spacious, lovely and immaculate, with big fluffy towels, goose feather and down pillows, and a duvet on a super-comfy bed. As a tall person, I sometimes find towels too small, but not here. Breakfast was generous, freshly cooked and brilliant, with a lovely selection of local jams. Just what I wanted from a little autumn getaway with my partner. Thanks so much, James. Sorry we didn't get to meet Jane, and I hope she feels better soon.

James was so welcoming and helpful, and the breakfasts were great. A really lovely place to stay, highly recommended.
