The Riverside Hotel

I was here for work and had a great stay for the money. The free parking and location were handy, with a takeaway and shop just a 1 minutes walk away. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the beds and pillows were so comfortable. Even in a single bed, which was larger than a normal single, I had the best night's sleep in ages. The room was warm and the shower had good power. Breakfast was absolutely bang on. I'd choose this over a bigger hotel any day.

Every time I dealt with the hotel staff, from booking through our stay, the service was brilliant. They were friendly and very focused on the client, which I find rare in the UK. If you need a low cost stopover, this is a good choice.

Getting to our room meant navigating a lot of twists and turns, and the place felt a little worn. But the rooms were clean, the shower had good pressure, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it and would stay again.

I loved the music they played in the afternoon and evening, and the couple running the place were friendly. Our room was very clean. The only thing keeping it from being 5 star was the 2 corridor doors to the rooms, which bang loudly when people come and go. Soft closers would fix it. It was a fabulous one night stay and I'd definitely return.
