The Morar Hotel

We left feeling full after some very good food and grateful for how well we’d been looked after. The building made a great impression, and our room was spacious, warm and cosy. I loved the automatic bathroom light. Everyone on staff was polite, professional, cheerful and attentive. Akram was especially hospitable and happily agreed to a couple of cheeky requests, including a doggy bag. The receptionist was also really helpful and great with people. Hotel Morar is dog friendly and well placed for walks, the train, or just taking it easy. It suited us perfectly.

The sea view from our room was spectacular, and the meals were delicious. I’d recommend the scallops and ribeye steak! Even with the wet weather, we enjoyed some lovely walks along silver sands beach. The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly. Many thanks for a relaxing stay, I’d definitely come back.

We were on our way to the isle of skye and stopped here for a short stay. At check in, we were pleasantly surprised to hear our room had been upgraded. Akram was a lovely host, the beds were really comfortable, and we made good use of the tea and coffee provided.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with views across Morar Bay, and the location is hard to beat, with so many beaches to visit. I’ve stayed at the Morar Hotel twice and am already looking forward to coming back, so I’m surprised by the mixed reviews. I also highly recommend the Silver Sands Restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. Those were hands down the best meals I’ve had in Scotland, and the views are unbeatable.
