Kato London Haus

The location worked well for a short visit. There’s a bus stop a minute from the property, and shops, restaurants and the train station are a 10-15 minute walk away. There was plenty of parking as well. We stayed one night and had a good experience despite some bad reviews. The couple greeted us and gave us slippers to wear inside, which made sense, and there was printed information in the room about the map, Wi-Fi and other things. The bedroom was spotless and the bed was comfortable, though the duvet felt too heavy. They provided coffee, tea and bottled water. The TV was good, but Netflix would have been better. The shower had enough pressure, but water ran onto the floor.

We really appreciated how kind and understanding the couple were about our situation with a small baby. The place was very clean and organized, and the location made getting around easy. It felt calm, welcoming and comfortable, and we’d happily stay again.

I stay here regularly when I’m working in London. The rooms are immaculate and nicely presented, and the rates are good. 9/10.

We had a terrible stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with kids. I rely on other people’s reviews when I book somewhere new, so I feel I should share what happened. We booked expecting to use the kitchen and dining area, and even called before we left to check. We were told yes. But when we arrived, we were restricted to our rooms and had nowhere to wash our baby’s bottles or utensils. I kept calling the host to ask for things we needed, and the communal kitchen they mentioned wasn’t equipped with what we needed anyway. We ended up washing the baby bottles in the toilet. Nobody checked to see if things were okay. The couple seemed quite unfriendly towards people with children. I definitely don’t recommend staying here if you have kids.
