The rooms were clean but a little dated, and it looks like upgrades are underway, with builders on site. Staff were lovely and friendly. I've stayed here before and the location is good, with plenty of facilities nearby and parking available as part of the shopping centre. Brewers Fayre has gone, but there's still a small bar and restaurant on site, for residents only, I think. It's cosy and the food is still good.

It's a reasonable hotel, but I couldn't control the room temperature and the shower was rubbish. The staff always seemed really busy and as if they had too many jobs to cover. I was surprised the self-check-in robot wasn't there.

The location is good and quiet, and the staff were nice, but the price is too high for the condition of the place. My room was old and tired, with damp and paint that was peeling or missing. The bathroom smelled of drains, the TV remote was sticky and dirty, the air con was feeble, and both the bed and chair felt very worn. The restaurant was closed during our visit, which we had been told in advance. They had promised complimentary fruit and pastries for breakfast, but all that was provided was a tray of apples. I wouldn't stay here again with better options nearby.

The bed was comfortable, but the duvet felt too hot and heavy for me. The heating was noisy, and the room could do with an update.
