Premier Inn Northampton Bedford Rd/A428

It’s my first time at Premier Inn, and I was impressed as soon as I walked in. Everything looked impeccably clean, and the front desk staff gave us a friendly welcome and information about things to do locally. The Premier Plus room had stylish furnishings and mood lighting throughout. There was plenty of luggage and storage space, plus two comfortable armchairs. The spacious shower room had mirrors that stayed clear after a shower, and Baylis&Harding soaps and shampoos. For a short stay, it had all the useful extras: an iron and board, coffee-pod machine, mini-fridge, and lots of power outlets, with USB ports at 10 spots. The bed looked crisp and clean, though I haven’t tried it yet. The room also had a 10/10 overall feel. If I could live here, I would.

There’s no restaurant on site, as the website clearly says, but two lovely pubs serving great food are within a 10-minute walk. The location is outstanding, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

The rooms have been renovated and look so nice. There are a couple of pubs within walking distance, and the hotel is in an excellent spot just off the M1. The woman on reception who checked us in on Friday 10 Oct in the evening was especially helpful and charmingly friendly.

We were in Northampton to visit family and stayed on Saturday night. The Premier Plus room was modern and comfortable, and I’d book that room type again. It had a large bed with extra pillows, two comfy chairs and a table, a 40" TV, shelves and hanging space, plus a hairdryer and wireless phone charging pad. The fridge, complimentary water, coffee-pod machine, iron and ironing board were useful extras. The shower was so good I didn’t want to get out, and the bathroom had nice mood lighting. In my view, it has everything you need for a comfortable few nights. One thing to keep in mind: hotel breakfast is £10.99 for cooked food and all-you-can-eat continental options like cereal, toast, and muffins. If you walk in, a full English is just £4.99 and tea is £1.50. It was very good and enough for me.
