I’ve spent a couple of nights here for work in each of the past three weeks, and it’s the best Premier Inn I’ve stayed at. The food is great for both price and quality, and the hotel has what you need for a short stay. It’s very close to town too. All the staff were wonderful and helpful. Glenn was always kind, great to chat with, and gave fantastic service. He even remembered my name. Denzel was just as good, with excellent service and a great sense of humour. A huge thank you to everyone. I’d definitely recommend it.

The people here are so nice and considerate, and the hospitality and customer service were amazing. I’ve stayed at quite a few Premier Inns, and this is one of the best. As a returning customer, we found a sweet note and gifts waiting in our room. We really enjoyed the stay!

The staff were great when I arrived late in the evening, but the downstairs bathroom was not. My room was disgusting for a fairly new hotel. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, the bathroom stank of body odour, and the whole room felt and smelled dirty. I woke up repeatedly because of the smell and felt dirty myself. I was meant to stay two nights, but checked out the next morning. There was no staff around to discuss it with, and I got no reply after sending feedback through the website.

I stayed one night at the Northampton Premium Inn, and the checkout experience was poor. Housekeeping knocked on my door twice before the checkout time, which disturbed me and made me feel rushed while I was still within the allowed time. Guests should be able to rest and get ready to leave without pressure beforehand. The lack of coordination between reception and housekeeping felt like poor management and affected my stay. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel based on this.

The hotel says an outside company checked Room 9, but the paperwork they sent was just a list of room numbers with no hotel name, date, or other sign it was genuine. It looked like an internal checklist. They closed the case and offered no refund or compensation, despite the evidence I supplied. During my ground-floor stay, the carpet was stained, the chair was dirty, and the room smelled musty. I covered the chair with bin bags so I could use it, and assumed the smell was because the windows couldn't be opened. I started itching while I was there and blamed the different shower gels at first. Once home, it got worse and I found a bed bug on my body. I photographed it, and Google photo search also identified it as a bed bug. My pharmacist agreed that bed bugs were the cause. I'm now using antihistamines and cortisone cream. From what I've read, getting rid of bed bugs requires a pest control company and can cost several hundred euros. This has been a living nightmare. I contacted the hotel and they asked me to send photo evidence. Having looked into reports of bed bugs at other Premier Inns around England, including a BBC report, I wish I'd checked before staying. I'm devastated.
