What stayed with me most was how kind everyone was. We felt surrounded by caring, down to earth people, and that matters most to me. A big thank you ❤️ Special thanks to Olga. The team are fun to be around, the rooms are lovely, and the drinks and meals are beautifully prepared. They generously offered us upgrades, and took a lot of care to help with special needs. I really valued that. The architecture is lovely, especially the stained glass by the landing and along the stairs. Whoever once owned this home was blessed 😊 The L shaped car park is much larger than it first looks. You can sometimes hear the plumbing, which may bother a very light sleeper. To me, it didn't detract from the stay, and it's fair to take into account that this is a period property.

We spent a lovely couple of nights here for our 47th wedding anniversary. The suite was up some narrow, steep stairs, but it was well worth it for the big room and roll top bath. We ate in the restaurant both nights, and the food was excellent. We were also given a couple of complimentary glasses of wine for our anniversary. Sophie and Michelle in the restaurant were so nice and friendly, and looked after us well. All the staff were lovely. We'll definitely return.

We stayed five days at this lovely dog friendly hotel. The place was clean, the rooms were comfortable, and breakfast had lots to choose from. Dinner offered plenty of different dishes, and everything we ate was delicious. The staff were fantastic, cheerful and always ready to help. Teddy the dog got thoroughly fussed over. We'd definitely stay again.

Lunch with family and our dog was excellent, and there are plenty of local ales and beers to choose from. We've never had a bad meal at The George, and the staff are so friendly and keen to help. My wife's stepmum is a regular, and I can see why, they make her feel special rather than like just another customer. We always enjoy stopping in when we're visiting family in Norwich. It's only a short stroll from the city centre, and we'll definitely return for food and drinks. On this visit, everything was spotless, and both the restaurant food and service were excellent. The staff are lovely. Thanks for another lovely afternoon.
