Before our stay I got in touch with the hotel a couple of times, and they were quick to respond. We arrived on match day, and the staff handled everything really well. Our room looked out over Carrow Road, which made for a different sort of view. We stayed one night and would definitely come back if we're in Norwich again.

The hotel was just as expected for an affordable place, clean and basic, and it didn't either disappoint or exceed what we'd expected. It's right beside the football stadium, so football fans would love it on a match day. We're not fans, but fortunately the game was during the day. The noise was deafening in our room next to the pitch, and an evening match would've been rough. The location worked well, with an entertainment area, food store and cinema a five-minute walk away, and a relaxed 20-minute walk to Norwich town centre. The room temperature was good, and the large TV was easy to see from bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our bathroom was clean with fresh towels. We were on the first floor; the shower wasn't powerful, but did the job. There's a bar downstairs with typical pub food until 10pm. I wasn't sure whether room service was available, as it wasn't mentioned. Dogs are allowed in the rooms. Parking is beside the hotel for £7.95 a day, about 100 yards away, easy to use and spacious. It apparently fills up only in July and August, and there's usually space outside those months. One night cost £130. It's a three-star hotel.

A clean, pleasant hotel in a handy spot for the train station and city centre, with very friendly reception staff. Breakfast at £17.50 was a letdown, though. There was no juice or yoghurt left, and when I asked, I was told they couldn't bring out more because service was nearly over. That really spoiled what had otherwise been a nice stay.

The reception welcome was very good, and all the staff were friendly. Breakfast was okay, though I don't think there are many choices. There was construction in front of the hotel, and the noise carried on until midnight. I also heard some air conditioning noise, perhaps because my room was on the sixth floor. In general, things were fine.

Room 511 was a premium king room with a pitch view. The view and atmosphere were amazing. Even from inside the room, it felt like I was right there in the stadium among the crowd. Maybe they could put a bench by the window for watching the game. I'd definitely book again.
