The kitchen was the one thing that might have been limiting for a longer visit, since it had very little equipment. For our one night, though, the spacious, clean room worked well, and check-in after hours was straightforward. The neighborhood felt safe, there was plenty of parking, and my daughter loved the freestanding bath.

The WiFi was OK, but I wouldn’t stay here again. There were dirty tissues in the cupboards, cutlery with grime in the drawers, mould in the bathroom, and someone else’s hair all over the towels. The bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, and the shower flooded the floor. Torn net curtains didn’t cover the windows, so with the single glazing we got outside light and noise coming in. The look of the place didn’t come together for me either: Instagram-style backdrops by reception, broken plastic rain covers, huge notices, and cheap finishes. It just didn’t work for me.

The neighborhood had everything we needed, and getting checked in was easy. The room was clean and comfortable, with lots of thoughtful little touches. When we had questions, customer service got back to us within seconds. Thanks, we’ll be back!

Having a parking spot was really helpful, and the staff were very attentive. The room was a decent standard, with the freestanding bath as its best feature. A few areas could use some TLC, but it was a nice room overall. It’s at the end of Unthank road, about a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre. There are also handy shops and bars along the road if you’d rather stay nearby.

Parking was a welcome extra, and the location was good. The room was comfortable and well equipped. I’d recommend it and stay again.
