Premier Inn Norwich Nelson City Centre

The staff at reception and in the bar were fantastic and helpful. We had an enjoyable couple of nights and would certainly come back. By the river, it’s close to plenty to do, whether along the river or a short walk into town, and the railway is just opposite. A few things could be improved in the rooms: the carpets need a good clean, the kettles need descaling, and there wasn’t enough tea, coffee, sugar, and milk for the length of our stay. The toilets near the bar also weren’t at their best when we visited at 5pm on Saturday, with the last check around midnight. With a few tweaks, the rooms could earn another star.

We came to see friends and wanted to be near everything, and this Premier Inn was just right. The pub was exactly what we wanted when we got back after a day out, and breakfast was very good. The room was simple but comfortable. It’s only minutes from the train station, Riverside, the old historic area, and the football stadium. Location, location, location.

Every staff member was cheerful, polite, and ready to help with whatever we needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and cosy, and we had a lovely trip to Norwich. We’ll definitely stay here again 🙂

The staff were polite and helpful, which is why I’ve given two stars instead of one. The hotel itself feels tired and needs attention. There were unfinished repairs and marks on the walls and windows, and my otherwise quiet room needed maintenance. The heating and air-conditioning unit was extremely noisy, so I had to ask for an oil heater instead. There was also a constant humming in the corridor, like a generator. At an average of £80 a night, rising to £130 on Saturday, I’d expect the rooms to be closer to the standard shown in the promotional photos.
